Hahu Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Hahu may process, how the app uses permissions, how data is stored, and what choices you have when using this private object archive app.

Last updated: April 7, 2026

1. Overview

Hahu is designed as a personal archive experience. It may process object titles, notes, photos, time slices, change records, reminder data, and premium purchase status in order to provide its museum-style features.

2. Information You Provide

Depending on how you use the app, Hahu may process the following categories of information:

  • Exhibit names, tags, notes, memory fragments, and condition descriptions.
  • Photos and visual records that you choose to capture or import.
  • Dates, status labels, comparison details, and archive updates you enter manually.
  • Support messages or emails you send to us.

3. Device Permissions

Hahu may request device permissions only when relevant to the feature you are using.

  • Camera: to capture exhibit photos and new time slices.
  • Photo Library: to import images that you choose to archive.
  • Microphone: if voice-based features are available in the app.
  • Tracking Permission: only if presented and allowed by you under Apple's system flow.

4. How We Use Information

Information processed by Hahu may be used to:

  • Create and display your museum archive entries.
  • Power timeline views, comparison tools, reminders, and premium archive features.
  • Maintain your coin balance and purchase-related access.
  • Improve stability, fix issues, and respond to support requests.

5. Storage and Retention

Archive content may be stored locally on your device inside the app environment. Exported files are only created or shared when you choose to do so. We keep support emails only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request or maintain service records.

6. Purchases

Premium purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card information. Apple may provide limited purchase status details needed to unlock content or restore purchases.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal archive content. Information may be shared only when necessary to:

  • Complete Apple in-app purchase processing.
  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, or valid legal request.
  • Protect the security, rights, or operation of the app and its users.

8. Tracking

If the app requests tracking authorization, that permission is optional. If you deny tracking, the core archive experience remains available.

9. Your Choices

You may control your data by managing your archive content and device settings.

  • You may edit or delete exhibit records within the app.
  • You may revoke permissions through iOS Settings.
  • You may choose whether or not to export your archive data.

10. Children's Privacy

Hahu is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can review the request.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the updated version may be made available inside the app with a revised effective date.
